Fun Friday Power Poppy

The weather here is much more like summer lately.  That makes me think of the flowers and the fresh berries that will soon be growing.  I received this stamp set recently and decided to quickly color it up for a card.
I am using the stamp set called Summer Berries and the Raspberries that are my favorite.
I'll just get to it then.

The stamp is Power Poppy Summer Berries for the image and sentiment.
Colored with Copic markers and Prisma color pencils
I masked off the image and inked up an embossing folder called Wire Fence and used it as a stamp for the background.

After taking Amy Shulke's classes I look for a real photo so that I can capture a more real image when I color.
This one has different color berries and shows the light refracted off of them.
I wish that I could have gotten the dark berries a bit darker.  Maybe next time.

There is more from the team members today.  Take a peek at them, you will not be sorry.
Leave them some love.

Thanks for stopping by and I always appreciate your comments!

  2. So gorgeous and those berries look so real. I want some now as my mouth is watering.

  3. Such a sweet and happy card. You have really captured those berries, I can almost taste them. I think using that bright green as the card base is genius!!! It really makes the whole card pop. Beautiful!!!

  4. That's a really interesting and creative way to do the background, Barb! It's a beautiful stamp with lots of detail and your coloring showed up every bit of it perfectly! I'll have to take another look at this one. Fruit and berries are as pretty and fun as flowers!

  5. Oh there is always another day to color lol I think your berries look fabulous! They make my mouth water and I absolutely loooooove that sentiment! YUM!

  6. I saw this on IG but needed to come have a better look. Love how you did the background that was a lot to mask. So pretty! Great card!
