Seize the Birthday - Create a Scene #208

Lindsey is our host for this challenge and she has chosen to Create a Scene.
Just remember if you are not a toppings kind of person, just make it a birthday card.

This is our second challenge for February.  It was a lot of fun for me as I decided to up my game a bit.
I recently bought a book to help me make different selections for my color schemes.

I search out this page and decided to make it my color scheme for this card.

Let's see how I did?

A little closer look.  Maybe my dark green should be darker.  What do you think?

The inside needed a bird too.

  1. Oh Barb this is just fabulous! LOVE those little birdies and how smart of you to put one on the inside too ... perfect! I would have never put these colors together but they are awesome! I think I might need a 'color bible' ... lol. Great job!

  6. What a sweet, sweet card. It really is pleasing to the eye, and I'm convinced it's because you used your book for color inspiration. I just ordered it on Amazon, thanks for the tip. You have colored those adorable birds perfectly (the green is just fine) and the red background really makes them pop. This card iS FABULOUS!!!
