We have a very interesting topic for this two-week challenge. Diane is our host and just look at this inspiration board that she has created.
Book Covers is the idea here and these are some examples. These are some fancy covers, but I knew just where I wanted to start.
Power Poppy has a digital stamp that I think fits this challenge very well. It is Hummingbird in Paradise. I printed it on Fabriano Hotpress watercolor paper. ( trying out new papers) without the hummingbird. Then channeling my best Debbie Hughs, started to color the leaves first. I love how the color can be placed in the darkest area and then the water will spread it to the lighter ones.
Then on to the flowers. When I was done, I used some matching Prismacolor pencils
to add depth and define areas.
The sentiment is Power Poppy too. It is easy to use a sentiment from a different set and pop it into the center.
Oh, we have a prize for a random winner.
Visit my other team members for more inspiration.
Remember to give them some love too.
wow a real stunner. xx
