Using an embossing folder is an easy technique, but I went to Youtube and Jennifer McGuire for some inspiration. I found this one that uses ink on your folder. I made several before I decided on the one that I wanted to use. I found that the distress ink needed several passes, where the Gina K and PTI ink only needed one. I will use these others for future cards, but for this challenge, I used the Peach Bellini.

The embossing folder is Sizzix 3D folder called Botanical

If this is not your type of technique, just go to her search and type in embossing. She has lots of them.

This is so pretty! I have had little luck with inking embossing folders this way, but now you've got me wondering if it's the type of ink I've used. Your results are gorgeous!
ReplyDeleteI love the color you chose for your card and the technique you used with the ink. I have done that before and love how it turns out pretty no matter which EF you use. The butterfly and frame are great embellishments.
ReplyDeleteJennifer definitely has loads of EF techniques. And I love how you've adopted that to create these wonderful embossed panels and that beautiful cards! It looks simply gorgeous with that frame and that butterfly.

ReplyDeletePeach Bellini is a lovely color! I love the added frame and the butterfly in the same color tone like the background which completes your monochromatic card!
