For the next challenge at Seize the Birthday, Ashwini is the host and she has decided on your favorite technique. You can do any technique that you like and it should be fun.
Of course, you can do any project just as long as it is a birthday theme.
I chose Heat Embossing. I love seeing the powder melt and I really should do it more.
For this card, I used the Gina K Holiday Tapestry stamp and a sentiment from MFT.
All heat embossed in Gold on Navy card stock.
Thanks for stopping by and I always appreciate your comments!
This is an absolute stunner of a card! There's a certain elegance about gold embossing on black and this is gorgeous!!
ReplyDeleteI thought about doing heat embossing as well as I also love it and don't do it as often as I should. This is lovely on navy!
ReplyDeleteIt's magic and so is this card! I love that stamp and it works beautifully for any occasion.
ReplyDeleteI love heat embossing too! It is so magical, I never tire of watching it change and get glossy! Thank you for a fun challenge and for this amazing card!
ReplyDeleteGold and navy is so pretty together, love the detailed stamping too, Cathy x
ReplyDeleteJust so elegant with the gold and navy! Awesome embossing!
ReplyDeleteI love heat embossing too. This one's outa the park!
ReplyDeleteI completely agree - I once saw a Jennifer McGuire video where she mentioned that the sight of the powder melting is 'magical' - isn't it, though - I totally agree. It somehow beings out the child in me to watch it melt and become something else!
ReplyDeleteGorgeous card, Barbara! I love the gorgeous gold shining against the navy - and with an elegant and gorgeous design as well!
Seeing the magic of heat embossing is what got me into cardmaking, although I hardly ever do it now. Your card is gorgeous - love the big sentiment too.
ReplyDeleteI'm the same as Shirley - heat embossing was how I started out! This is gorgeous - so striking with these elegant colours. Fabulous card.
