This is a fun challenge but if you are not interested in the topping, just make a birthday card.
Here is my card!
I had an inspiration for this card. I set out to make is and I am very happy with the end results, but it was not easy. I envisioned two fish bowls and one fish jumping to the other. Thereby making a Splish Splash. Lol
With the help of my circle dies, I created two fish bowls, one smaller than the other.
The stamp for the fish is a favorite and an oldy from Stamp in Up called Fishy Friends.
Colored and fussy cut after stamping greens from GKD Fill it with Flowers. The puddle under the bowl is also GKD Sophie Pig ( do you remember that one?) Never used before!
Clearly Besotted Whale Done, and GKD birthday greetings for the sentiment.
Our Surprise Party Guest is Johanna
Thanks for stopping by and I always appreciate your comments!
Oh wow, so clever and creative--love that you made your own fishbowls! I like how that one fish is so happy to see the other and is jumping for joy--hope he doesn't regret that! lol Love the splishing and the splashing! Amazing!!!
ReplyDeleteOh, my goodness, you are over the top creative, Barb! What a cute idea, and you drew your own fish bowls! I love the fish, the greenery... and the puddle -- brilliant! It's all just so danged fun and fabulous! Great challenge theme!
ReplyDeleteI don't own a fish bowl die or stamp but I certainly could have probably made one. I think your card is darling as can be. Looks like your little fish visit eachother often. Great fussy cutting too!
ReplyDeleteSuch a creative idea Barbara! Your fish bowls look wonderful and that little fish leaping out looks like he's blowing kisses to his friend, so cute. Love that you managed to create this adorable scene with lots of different goodies too, Cathy x
ReplyDeleteAdorable card Barb. Very creative having one fish jumping into the other fishbowl. Fun card. Have a great week.
ReplyDeleteI'm seriously impressed at how you created your fish bowls and the idea you had is very creative indeed. Cute fish!
ReplyDeleteI am a bit concerned for the fish out of water!!! LOL! I do hope he's on his way down to the bowl. This is just beyond clever and cute!
ReplyDeleteVery fun and clever! I love your creative idea:)
ReplyDeleteClever you, Barbara, making your own fish bowls! I love how you've got one fish leaping from one bowl to the next. Great take on the theme!
ReplyDeleteWhat a cute card Barb. I too think your one little fishing just splashed a little too hard or maybe he wanted to visit his friend in the other fish bowl. Very creative.
ReplyDeleteWhat a clever idea and really well executed too! I love the fish bowls you've made too and I would like to snatch your ideas myself! Fantastic job, Barbara!
