Our "Topping" option this time is...
Jules is the host for this challenge. You just need to add a tag if your are into the topping.
If you are not interested in the topping, just make it a birthday theme.
Here is a few cards for this challenge
I needed a masculine card for our grandson who is turning 17. I started out with some silver foiled paper which I embossed with a birthday themed embossing folder. I wanted to make a Shaker card so I Cut the tag dye from memory box entitled Stitched Main Street Tag twice. The sentiment is creative and expressions shadow box die. This card was easier to make than it was to photograph as that background is so shiny my image kept showing up in the picture. I really can't have that so I found a way to photograph it from a distance and then enhance my photo.
My next card is also A tag card Yes I know I went overboard again but they're so much fun.
This card started out with a spellbinders embossing folder called Tufted. It is a 3D folder and I've used it many times. Then once again I use the stitched main street tag dye from memory box and placed some design paper inside. On top of the tag I place the Greetery die called graceful stems that I die cut and quickly colored with my Copics. This sentiment is a strip From my stash.

Shiny stuff can be a bear to photograph and you've got a lot of shiny stuff on your first card. You pulled it off, though, and I think it makes a great card for your 17 year old grandson! Your second card is pretty with the petite flowers growing up the tag. I like how you framed the tag, too!
ReplyDeleteTwo fabulous cards! I love both versions! You could share the first one at Time Out:)
ReplyDeleteTwo wonderful cards and oh so differnt, Barbara! I love all that shine on the first one. Always great for a birthday card. Your second one is so lovely and dainty. I have that tufted folder and haven't used it yet. Hugs!
ReplyDeleteOooh you've got the Tag Bug--I have lived (happily) with it for years lol These are both great and I really loooooove that Shaker one! Quite beautiful!
ReplyDeleteWow! The first shiny shaker card looks absolutely amazing! Great card for your grandson. I wouldn't have thought that both the tags were made from the same tag dies - they look so different! Great cards, Barb!
ReplyDeleteGreat shiny card for your grandson. Love the shaker tag. Your 2nd card is lovely with those flowers on the tag and embossed background. Two great cards.
ReplyDeleteYay for a two-fer!!! I love that metallic design and it's even more fun as a shaker. I'm sure he loved it as well. The bonus card is equally as fabulous. Thanks for your enthusiasm with my Topping!
ReplyDeleteHow is your grandson 17 already! Both of these are wonderful. I think it is so cool that you made a masculine shaker. That EF is one of my favorites too. Well done, Barb!
