I am lucky enough to have the Anna Griffin embossing folder
that everyone is looking for called Matelasse.
It is an old one and I remember exactly when I got it. I was at a Crafting fair in Minneapolis one weekend and had to have it. I am so glad that it was a must back then as I am having fun with it now. Before leaving Florida last week, my crafts were packed up, but I was able to emboss a bunch of card stock and design paper and just cut away. I usually listen to a pod cast while crafting and that was what I was doing. I brought them all back to Wisconsin with me and I am using one of them today.
Here is the card that I created for several challenges.
Embossing folder is Anna Griffin Matelasse, Design paper is an old pack from My Favorite Things
The flower bouquet is Paper Trey Ink, Build a Bouquet cut with cardstock from Gina K Designs called Wild Wisteria. I used some Copic markers to highlight some areas. Can you see a little bit of purple glitter in the center of some flowers. It takes a lot for me to break out the glitter. Lastly the special sentiment is from a crafty friend that some of you may remember, Kathy Krug. She would send me die cuts and I did the same for her. Sadly, we lost Kathy several years back, but I still have her die cuts. This one is from Creative Expressions. I liked that way this turned out and It kicked started my mojo.
I will be entering this card in these challenges.

Oh my GOSH, is this beautiful. I, too, am lucky enough to have scored that EF on ebay awhile back. Took me FOREVER to get ahold of it, I had to keep looking and looking. I love the blue flowers against that green plaid. This is just spectacular, now I MUST go dig out that EF.
ReplyDeleteThis is stunning! Love the deep rich color of your flowers, so beautiful! And, YES, that embossing folder is amazing! Well done! (oh and I am out of the loop, never even knew it existed lol)
ReplyDeleteLove the woven ribbon embossing behind your gorgeous bouquet! So glad you shared at Die Cut Divas!!
ReplyDeleteI do not have this beautiful embossing folder, but if it was for sale today I sure would have it in a heartbeat! The detail is lovely and so nice as a background for your fabulous bouquet! I still have some of Kathy's die cuts, too, and two of her cards have been on display in my craft room since the day I received them. She was one of my biggest influencers when it comes to getting hooked on dies!
ReplyDeleteYou could probably get top dollar for that EF as it is really pretty and very cool. I adore your card, Barb! Tickled that you took the time to join us at Color Hues.
