Make it Monday #210

The challenge at Make it Monday is to use vellum to soften patters. I have this pack of design papers from Gina K Designs that I have not used because it is so bold.  Often that much design, just takes away form the design of the card.  This is a great solution to that problem.  I will get right to it.

I am happy with how this turned out.  Here is what I used.

GKD Ocean Mist card stock and Design paper, Ang and Me
PTI Vellum, Sheer Basics Pattern Pack
Simon Says die Stitched Slopes and Hills
PTI banner die, Tinsel and Tags
Sentiment PTI, Phrase Play #11
Jewels from my stash and flower and butter fly fussy cut from the design paper fro accents

I hope that you like it too, and thanks so much for dropping in and leaving a comment.  I really appreciate them.
That will be all of the crafting for me this week.  We are off on another adventure, but I will be watching to see what you are doing.

  5. This is stunning. Love that dark patterned paper against the light blue card base. And your striped vellum panel just makes the card sing. Stripes and florals - one can never go wrong.

  6. Your bold design paper and the vellum worked out SO beautifully together...I just LOVE this card!! I always gravitate to the bold patterned papers when I see them, but like you, I end up never using them because they compete with my stamping. I'm going to go dig them all out right now and get busy....thank you for the inspiration!! :0)

  21. Oh the velum is perfect on that PP. I love that you used the vellum with the designs. It creates such an interesting effect. Using a flower an the butterfly from the paper really ties the whole thing together.
