Creative Confetti - Tag You're it!

Just before the holiday festivities start, and things get busy, I decided to make just one last entry for the Creative Confetti challenge this week. I have been making some tags for wine bottle gifts and that is what I did for this challenge. Power poppy has a perfect stamp set for this it is called Dream Wedding. I used the champagne bottle and glasses from that set.  I cut the large tag from Main Street Tags by Memory box and cut it again so that I can add a top border.  On that border, I added the sweet little sprigs from the Amaryllis Bliss stamp set.
This is a large tag is Main Street tags from Memory box,
it fits nicely on a wine bottle.
Lots of room to decorate it too.
I colored the tag with watercolors in light Distress inks.  Evergreen Bough, Scattered Straw, and  Shaded Lilac. The silver ribbon is from my stash.  The last touch was crystals from Pretty Pink Posh in Buttercream and Aquamarine.  I also added some Wink of Stella and Crystal effects to the tag.  Then it was done.

I am entering this tag in:

Creative Confetti - Try something new!

I thought that I would just try something new as this challenge suggests.  This is not a new technique, but one that I have only done once before in the way that I first planned.  That technique is called Emboss Resist.  I made a very nice card and then realized that I did not use a Power Poppy stamp at all.  Lol!   Back to the drawing board.  It is hard to pick out a stamp set that I like as I like them all.  But I did go to the Chrysanthemum XL.   I stamped it in Versamark ink and put clear embossing powder on it and heat set it.  Then I found that I had a hard time coloring the petals as I planned because I could not see them.  No Problem, change the plan and use a wash of water color in gold.  Nope, not the look I was going for.  So Plan 3. die cut it out, add a darker color to highlight the petals.
Now we are talking a card.  This is what it looks like.
Here is what I used on this card.
Dark Chocolate card stock GKD, and water color paper for the flower
Stitched Round Rectangles From DieNamics added to the base for texture
Kuretake Starry gold water color
Vintage Photo Distress ink for the leaves and highlights on the flower
Power Poppy Chrysanthemum XL  and Party time for the sentiment
Gold embossing powder for the sentiment
This view shows how sparkly the gold is on the flower.

Double D Challenge - Let it Snow!

This is the last Double D Challenge for this year of 2018.  It sure has been a great year and I have had so much fun making cards for your inspiration. I hope that you have enjoyed joining in too.

Let's get to it.  The challenge for this two weeks is Let it Snow! Team Darlene says, use anything snow related. That really leaves a lot of room for you to create.  I made a Christmas card for your inpsiration, I put lots of snowflakes all over the front. Both heat embossed and die cut.
I stamped the snowflake from Gina K  Designs in Versamark and then heat embossed with Silver.  The fishtail banner is from Cheery Lynn.  Don't you love the scalloped edges? More snowflake dies from Memory Box called Lindeman, and PTI.  I used a navy and gray cardstock. The JOY is a die from PTI and it is covered with Versamark and heat embossed with silver too.

Here is the PRIZE

A random winner will be able to make lots of snowflakes for your projects.

Come and see what all of the design teams have made for your inpspiration at Double D Challenge.
Thank you very much for your comments I do appreciate them very much.

Have a Merry Christmas everyone!

Creative Confetti -

It is the season of giving and that's what this challenge at Power Poppy, Creative Confetti is all about.  Make a gift that you would give to someone.
Well, there are a lot of gifts that a crafty person could make to give, and I picked tags.  Special tags for special gifts. These are digital tag images from Power Poppy called, Birch and Evergreens, Wreath: Felt leaves and fruits, and Candy cane classic.
Here you go! A gift of four tags for someone who wraps their Christmas gift with special care.

One for a masculine gift.  I did use novo drops to just the branches. Dry embossed the tag with a brick pattern.

This one is all glittered up for a more feminine gift. I sprayed it with glimmer spray and added novo drops to the berries. Just a few rhinestones.  If you don't have the right color ribbon, use your ink pad to color it.

This is a softer and grand tag with clear novo drops to the fruit.

This is my favorite one.  The ribbon is gold and has clear novo drops to it.   By the way, this is a free digital image.  Just saying, what are you waiting for?  Go get it.
I will be entering these tags in the Creative Confetti challenge for this week.  You need to enter too.
Thanks for dropping in, I do love and appreciate the comments.

Double D challenge - Run Run Rudolph

We crafty people who make cards should be sending them out to our friends and relatives, so that means you need to get going and make some cards to send out this Holiday season.  I know that I have been making them for a few months and now I have enough.  This is a great time to add just one more to the pile and enter into this challenge offered by Team Diane this week.  You can make any kind of deer.  Here is my card inspiration for you this challenge.
This is all die cuts and was made quickly.
Nice for a Christmas card or a winter Birthday or Hello card too.
I used the DieNamics, Deer Love and Memory Box, Tall Birch dies.  I hand cut the snow drifts and sponged a little blue on the edges and then some glitter. The moon is just a circle punch. Of course, I colored the deer nose red.  He could be Rudolph.

Oh Yes, There is a prize for the random winner.

Come and join the design team at Double D. I can't wait to see what you all do, it is always so inspiring. Yes, I get inspiration everywhere, especially from you.

Thanks for dropping in and taking time to leave a comment.

Snowflakes are Beautiful

I was cleaning up my craft room and found a lovely die cut that a friend sent to me and wanted to use it in this Challenge from Dies R Us.  We are to use snowflakes.
Here is the quick card I made this morning.
For this card, I made a base of light gray and layered chocolate brown on top.  The design paper is from a Recollections paper pad called Christmas.  I put some rhinestones in the center of some of the snowflakes and also used some Glossy accents on them. Over the top of that, is the die cut from Memory box called Batavia Snowflake Oval. The sentiment is from the paper pack as well.  Pretty quick and simple.
I will also enter this in the Simon Says Wednesday Challenge - Anything Goes.
Thanks so much for leaving a comment.  I do appreciate them.
