Double D Challenge - Twelve Days of Christmas - Days 7-12

This is the last Challenge for Double D for this year.  Why not join in and plan on playing again next year. If you are a cardmaker, you need to join in the fun here at Double D.

Twelve Days of Christmas
Days 7-12

7th Day    Seven Swans A Swimming
8th Day    Eight Maids A Milking
9th Day    Nine Ladies Dancing
10th Day    Ten Lords A Leaping
11th Day    Eleven Pipers Piping
12th Day    Twelve Drummers Drumming

I chose the Tim Holtz stamp of a soldier.
I hope he passes for a leaping lord, or a piper or even a drummer

Just colored him up, and cut him out. Placed the soldier on a Main Street tag and then on vintage background.  I hope that you have time in this busy season to join in.

There is a prize

If you need inspiration you will find it here on the Double D Challenge Blog.
Thanks for your comments!  I love them
Merry Christmas to all!

  1. Haven't seen this TH stamp before but it looks fabulous for our theme. xx

  2. Fabulous Barbara! What a marvelous stamp and just perfect for the challenge!

  3. WOW what a clever creation ... well done!! Also want to thank you for 'being there' for me ... I truly love my DD sisters!!

  4. I love Tim Holtz architectural images, every one of them. You have used this perfectly, and the whole design is just so cool. Great patterned paper choices, it's a wonderful shabby chic look.

  5. Great design, Barb. I love how this team has so many different looks for the same challenge.

  6. He's a very cool nutcracker and I can totally see him as a drummer or a piper. Trying to picture him leaping... hmmmm... Your shabby, vintage-ish card design is perfect for him. Merry Christmas!

  7. That drumcracker soldier works fine for me as a piper, leaping lord or a drummer. I still have to see if I can find anything to fit remotely in the challenge. This is a toughie!

  8. Great tag, Barb! I love your leaping nutcracker drummer piper! The TH vintage stamp is perfect on this tag. I also love your gold pearl embellishments!

  9. Oh this is so nostalgic! It feels like he would be made of tin, great coloring! I think he is a perfect image for our Challenge, well done! Merry Merry! xo~

  10. Wow, this is such a beautiful card Barbara. Love that TH stamp and also the vintage feel of the card. Wishing you and your family a Merry Christmas and a happy and prosperous New Year.
