Welcome to another great challenge here at Seize the Birthday!
I think that you can see that I chose to use Transparency on my card. This is a good picture of it as it is usually hard to photograph.
Just remember to keep it a Birthday Theme!
If you are not a toppings kind of person.
I started with a die that I love and used often and it is called Anajas Square. I die cut it so that it would be a top folding card. The cut out in the middle has the transparency in it with the sentiment heat embossed on it. If you heat emboss gently waving your heat gun over it will not warp. Then I added the lily from The Greetery. The sentiment is from Balloon Bouquet also The Greetery. If you are wondering about the gold frame, I just used my gold pen for that. Hmmm, maybe I should have used silver.
You really need to check out the blog to see what the rest of the team has for you this challenge.
You can find them here.
Thanks for stopping by and I always appreciate your comments!
Beautiful card Barb. Love the die cut and the pretty lily. Your embossed transparency looks great in the center.
ReplyDeleteWow, what a pretty card. LOVE that you used the acetate instead of vellum. I don't think I have ever done that. That die is gorgeous and you have used it perfectly here. The lily is just the right color with the blue. This is gorgeous.
ReplyDeleteWell that's just beautiful! Great design, love the shape! Fabulous flower too--I'm ready for Spring!
ReplyDeleteThis is so gorgeous. I love the beautiful die and wonderful colors.
ReplyDeleteFun shaped card - love the use of the vellum too
ReplyDeleteBeautiful card. I don't know about the silver. I think it would be more blendy blendy and the gold make sentiment and flower pop.
ReplyDeleteSo beautiful! I can see why you like this die, but it's what you did with it that makes this card.
ReplyDeleteSuch a pretty card Barb! Love that lily and the gold frame was a great touch! Enjoy your family time!
ReplyDeleteWow! Such a pretty card, that die is gorgeous as is your card, love the vellum centre, Cathy x
ReplyDeleteThis is beautiful, Barbara! That die is to die for! lol Love the soft colors and your pretty lily. Really lovely card! Stay safe!
ReplyDeleteHeat embossing over transparency is always tricky, so I'm glad yours has come out so well! That's definitely an elegant die cut to pair it with! What a classy card!
ReplyDeleteThis is so beautiful Barbara! Everything about it is so elegant and classy. Well done on embossing on your transparency - you obviously have the right 'gentle wave' technique... it can definitely be tricky.
