Double D Challenge - Things that Fall

September is a month of cooler weather and signs of fall. I think this is why Darlene chose this interesting theme for this Challenge at Double D. I found it interesting at least and remembered a stamp set that would work for this challenge. See what you think. I was inspired by the bottom right corner.

Here is the simple card that I made with an embossing folder and a stamp.
Supplies: Altenew 3D embossing folder Banana Leaves
Rubber Art Stamp by Ryn Waterefects 2
                computer generated sentiment
Card stock, Grass Green,  ink is Jelly Bean Green, Gina K Designs.

This is a totally flat card and will be easy to mail. I love the calming sentiment.  I think I will make more of this one. My secret is to color each raindrop with a colored pencil to make them look 3D. Added a bit of white gel pen for the reflection and that was it.

The prize for this challenge.

It will be fun to see what other design team members have created for this challenge.
Check it out here.

Thanks for stopping by and I always appreciate your comments!

  1. Wow, Barb!!! This is stunning! I kept looking at the raindrops wondering if they were stick on gems, then I read that you colored them on freehand and added GA. Brilliant! I just had to look again and yep, I'm blown away by your genius! The sentiment you printed up is so sweet too. Beautifully done!

  3. That Embossing Folder is perfect and I love that shade of green! So deep and rich in texture. Your few simple raindrops are magnificent and I sooooo enjoy that sentiment--how true! I'll always remember spending time in Tom's grandparent's summer cottage, the rain hitting the eaves on a warm summer night.....so sweet!

  7. Say what???? All along I thought the raindrops were resin stickers or Crystal Effects or something like that. Amazing, Barb! Fabulous embossing folder, too!
