Color Hues Guest - Green and Gold

I am tickled pink to be a guest designer for Color Hues! Their challenges are the ones that inspire me the most. Since my card was picked, I get to be a guest designer for them on this challenge.

Come and play along with the rest of the team and me. The colors are Green and Gold. I must admit that the very first thing that I thought of was Packer Colors, ( I live in Wisconsin) but unfortunately I don't have stamps for that. Thank goodness. There are so many other things to make for this color combination.

Here is the card that I made.
Supplies are: Gina K Winter Foliage card kit the poinsettia stencil
Spellbinders Gilded Nested Rectangle Glimmer Set in Gold Foil.
Honey Bee Buzz Words for the sentiment
Gina K Thankful Greenery for the sentiment inside.
A better view to see the gold hot foil and sentiment. So hard to photograph.
The inside has a story too. My first hot foil didn't work right, but I cut it out and used it on the inside. I will add my own message when I send the card. Never throw out anything, is my motto.

Thanks for stopping by and I always appreciate your comments!

  2. Barb, I am also glad you didn't make a football themed card...LOL . This came out so much better! It's really lovely as can be! I also love that you carried the gold into the inside with no waste. So happy to have you with us for this challenge. Hugs!

  3. I have to say that gold foil border adds a really elegant look to this. Your poinsettia is green is a beautiful thing, too. And "waste not want not" on the inside ... nope, throw nothing out!

  11. What a wonderful design and so very beautiful with the stenciled poinsettia in green (LOVE that idea!) and the gold framing. Such a smart save with the foiling you used inside the card - I would have never thought of that. Barbara, thank you so much for joining us as GD for this challenge, it's certainly a treat having you!
