Here it is the last challenge of 2024! Can you believe that? The time goes so fast, but we have the challenges to get use through. This challenge is mine and I have chosen masculine. Let's see what you do with that.
Make sure it is a birthday theme, if you are not into toppings.
My card!
A better angle to see the texture.
The inside
For this card that will go to my grandson, Jack on his 20th birthday
(how did that happen)
I used a digital image and printed it on Card stock. Then I used the alphabet dies from My Favorite Things to die cut his name. I think that you can see it in the photo.
I added Glossy accents to the letters. The sentiment is computer generated.
He loves all sports and there are lots of images on the internet.
For those that want a masculine card, but want a simpler one, I have that too
This card was made using an embossing folder by Altenew called foliage and the debossed side.
I just sponged navy ink over the entire card and place a Happy Birthday die from Simon Says

Oh Jack will love this personalized gem of a card! Love the eclipse, they are so fun to make. These are great images and I adore that personalized sentiment. Your second card is perfection and easy to whip up--don't you love that technique? Great texture!
ReplyDeleteBoth cards are great Barb. Love the texture on the basketball & net. I know your grandson will love it. Thanks for a fun masculine challenge.
ReplyDeleteBoth cards are wonderful inside and out and the card you made for Jack is so cool. I absolutely love how you included his name. I also can’t believe he is 20! Wonderful cards and a great challenge Topping to wrap up 2024!
ReplyDeleteWhat a great image for a 20 yr old sports fan! I love that you left it black and white, and having his name almost hiding there is way cool. The dimension and gloss on the letters make them more noticeable, but still mysterious. I think Jack will be impressed. Love the technique and look on your second card. The debossing looks great with this folder. Happy December!
ReplyDeleteBarbara, this is a great card for your grandson. Great image. Thanks for the fun challenge as masculine cards are definitely a challenge for me. Have a Merry Christmas.
ReplyDeleteAwesome birthday card for your grandson and I love the blackout technique on the foliage folder, looks fab in blue! Hope you have a wonderful Christmas Barbara and thankyou for a fun challenge, Cathy x
ReplyDeleteGorgeous cards! The basketball design is awesome!!!
ReplyDeleteBoth cards are simply awesome. I LOVE the eclipse look, how clever to do it over the image. I'm definitely pinning. Your second card is gorgeous too. I haven't really played much with that technique, and it packs such a punch. I'm off to pin now.
ReplyDeleteLove both the cards!! I love how you've added your grandson's name in the first one, that's so cool. Thanks for the great challenge as well, Barbara!!
