Double D Challenge - Frames

Hello Crafters! This next two weeks at Double D Challenge we will be looking at frames. How ever you want to display them frames is it.
Diane has prepared this lovely inspiration board for you.

If you enter, you have a chance for this prize as it is a random draw.

This is how I did my frame.

I made a frame from white card stock with Hero Arts dies in two rectangle shapes.
By layering two of those rectangles together
I was able to make a thin black frame on the top.
The flower is Honey Bee die Lovely Layers Cone Flower
that I had already completed.
The sentiment is from Gina K Designs Delicate Flowers

I hope to see you at Double D!

Color Hues winner!

I was so surprised to hear that I was a winner at Color Hues! It was a good day when I had some extra time to join in the fun. Today I am here as a Guest Designer and I am thrilled to show you my example.

These are the colors for this challenge.

As soon as Nancy sent me these colors, I thought they
would be perfect for a floral image.
I just got a new set of stamps, stencil and dies from Pink Fresh
that I used on this project.
It is called Be Fearless! I added the
Decorative Frames letter press and die too.
Every single layer of that die is cut individually.
Therefore you can add dimension on any layer.
Notice the inside, where I used the largest layer.

The inks that I used to get close the the Color Hues theme are:
Gina K Medium Spruce and Dark Carnation and Altenew Coral Berry.
The silver gems are from Pink Fresh.

Thanks to the team at Color Hues for inviting me to play along!

Thanks for stopping by and I always appreciate your comments!

Inks, Turquoise Sea, Ocean Mist, Jelly Bea Green,

I forgot to take my stencils from Florida when we left last week, so I had to rely on what I have here. The soft gray stencil is an old one and I have no idea where I got it. I love the soft colors on this card and I think the stencil works.
Check out the challenge.

Double D Challenge - May's Birth flower or stone

Theme:  May's Birth Flowers
(Lily of the Valley and Hawthorn)
and Birthstone is Emerald
Be inspired by any of the three.

I found that this challenge was really a challenge for me. I didn't have a single stamp or die that was a Lilly of the Valley. I investigated that other option of flower and did my best to come up with a Hawthorn Flower. Here is what I did.

Using The Greetery Botani Cuts Geranium die, I shaded it with the colors in the inspiration photo.
Then added the small stamens that I saw with Nuvo Pearl Gold drops.
The inks are GKD Tomato Soup, Coral Reef and the new Sunkissed Coral
Simon Says Small Die Hello cut twice for the sentiment.
Embossing folder by Sizzix, Textured Expressions
A strip of gold glitter paper on the black band
White dots on the leaves with White Posca pen (should have left that out)

I like how it turned out.

I hope to see you at Double D!

Thanks for stopping by and I always appreciate your comments!

Seize the Birthday Challenge - #305 Flowers

Our leader,Nancy is our hostess for this challenge and the topping is flowers.
Of course you can just make it a birthday card and still enter.
But what fun it would be to use the topping for a chance to be a guest designer with us!

Here is how I started my card. This is a sheet of 6X6 design paper from Spellbinder Woodland Tales. It actually looks like it had wrinkles in it, but it is just shading.

By just adding more dimension with die cut flowers and leaves, this card came together quickly.

A close-up picture.

Supplies for this card:
Spellbinders Woodland tales design paper
Layered Anemone die
The Greetery Botani Cuts Palm die
Gina K Designs the Northern Woods for the sentiment.

We have a Surprise Party Quest with us for the next two months. I am sure that you have seen her work before as she is not new to paper crafting. We are happy to have her.
Give her some love!

Thanks for stopping by and I always appreciate your comments!

Thanks, and using dies

This card will be entered in the Pink Fresh May 2025 Inspiration Challenge
and
A Cut Above for May anything goes

I started out with a stencil by Pink Fresh called Geometric Tile in the colors in the challenge. Then I die cut many Pink Fresh Nested Hexagons in white. layering them for demension. I used a small and a larger die to make a frame. The flowers were done with Pink Fresh Sweet Blossoms die and stencil. I chose small ones to place in each hexagon and reserved the third one for my sentiment. That is Pink Fresh You are Next Level Amazing stamp. A few gems from my stash. I like the thin black border on the front panel too.

I am also entering this card in a new challenge. Stencil fun.
