STB #336 - Double Frame

Nancy is the host for the next two weeks at Seize the Birthday Challenge. I decided to make a fun card for this challenge. Wait, all of my cards are fun, right? I went searching for a double frame that was fun to make.  I found Sam  Calcott swing fold card. Here is where you can find the video.

Before decorating the swing part was easier than I though. 

Now just to decorate. 

Cardstock is Jelly Bean Green and white from Gina K 

Design paper on the inside is from my stash

Dies that I used are spellbinders rectangular dies

The flowers on the front are 49 in market laser cut wildflowers

Sentiment is GINA K designs called All at Once.

Double D Challege - Windows

Diane is our Hostess for this next two weeks at Double D Challenge. Just look at the mood board with all of the windows that she has created for your inspiration.

For my card I went a little different direction and use the dark clouds 

and bolts of lightning with my window. Since we have had so much rain this summer.

I have had these dies in my stash and wanted to use them.

Time Out Challenge - Seasaonal Colors Where You Live #322

My BFF Donna Phelan is the guest designer at Timeout Challenges. She has challenged us  to make a card and enter for a prize offered from Gina K Designs. I just got back from a vacation and knew that my new Gina K stamp set was waiting for me in the mail. I couldn't wait to use it. So today I had some time and I made a card to enter in this challenge. Here is my take on the challenge using Gina K's Life's Best Moments  Die and poly-glaze sheets, and stencils.

It is looking a lot like fall in Wisconsin, but I use the colors that I see here in the marigolds that are blooming with the rich yellows and orange. I also use some bright greens that are leftover from summer on the leaves

I used a gold foil on the poly-glaze flowers and sentiment. Die cut them out and used the stencil to color the flowers and the leaves. 

 I also included the master Layouts One. 

Inks used are Gina K Sweet Corn, Sweet Mango, Tangerine Twist, Jelly Bean Green, Grass Green and Kraft. Some Gold sequins from my stash to finish.

CAS Mix up Challenge for September 2026

I recently entered a card in the CAS Mix Up Challenge, and I was absolutely thrilled

The challenge for September is Sunflower and Watercolor 

My proud badge for this month. 

Here is the card that I did for this month's challenge. 

A better view and the inside. 

Because I don't do watercolor often, I chose to clear emboss the image to help to keep the color inside the lines. It was a great help. First stamp in black and then used clear embossing power to heat set it. 

The image of the sunflower and the sentiment is from Gina K . (oldie but goodie)

It was called Stately Flowers 5.  I went right to it for this card. 

I used my Arteza pens in Bumblebee Yellow, Orange, Autumn Red, 

Crocodile Green and Green tea.

My Posca white pen was used for the white dots. 

The black border was Gina K Master Layouts 1

In the very bottom left corner, I used a stencil from my stash.
