Penny Black Saturday Challenge

Penny Black has a monthly challenge that starts on the first Saturday
of the month and ends on the last Saturday.
I have been playing with stamp sets that have had for quite some time,
and a new Penny Black die that I wanted to try.
Here is my card for this challenge I am going with anything goes

The supplies are: Penny Black stamp, A Present and a new edger die called Wishes.
I stamped in black and used clear embossing powder over top. I originally
wanted to color all of it. I ended up paper piecing just the box part of the present.
I did color the rest including the cute bear.
Gina K Coral Reef card stock for most of the base and a Striped design paper from My Favorite Things 6X6 paper pack. I went searching for a stamp that said Birthday
and found one that I had never used before. Not unusual!
I will enter this on the current challenge at Penny Black
Come on over and join me.

Thanks for stopping by and I always appreciate your comments!

Fun with Block Party from PinkFresh

One more card for this challenge Beautiful background.
My card.

I used the Block Party die and stencil for the background
Playful Petals ( flower only)
Spellbinder oval die and vellum

I actually made 6 of stenciled background for this die. Just played with colors.
For this card I used Gina K inks in Navy, Turquoise Sea, Medium Orchid and Bubble Gum

I will be entering this card in the Pinkfresh August 2026 Challenge HERE

Thanks for stopping by and I always appreciate your comments!

CAS mix up card challenge for August

The new challenge at CAS Mix up Challenge is stenciling on patterned paper.

I used the Serene Branches stencil from Gina K and stenciled over 6x6 paper called The Sorbet collection. Using Gina K inks jelly bean, fresh asparagus, dark sage, Kraft and warm cocoa. The sentiment is from Gina too and from a very old stamp called Wild at Heart. You need to be very careful when stenciling as you can get smudges. That is why I had to cut out the bottom of my third try. Lol

This was fun, come and join in.

Thanks for stopping by and I always appreciate your comments!

STB #332-Aug.13th-Jenny Funny/Pun-y

The next challenge at Seize the birthday has a topping, but if you do not use it, make sure it is a Birthday theme.

Hello Crafters and Birthday Card makers! This next Challenge is
Make a Funny/Pun-ny card.
Jenny is the host for this next challenge.

This is my card.

It all began with me looking through my basket of previously printed Ideas for cards.
I came across this one that I had but I don't remember where I got it from. (sorry)
I decided to go ahead and use it and I cut it out in a circle first and then using the Pink Fresh folk edge circle ,I cut a pink circle. I also went through some of my stack of 6 by 6 designer paper and decided to use this 4 Seasons Summer. I think it goes nicely with the margaritas. I placed all of this on a card base from Gina K Designs in Jelly Bean Green. Using My Favorite Things long stem bar wear and garnish dies, I cut out lots of Margarita glasses. At this point I wasn't sure how I was going to use them. Each Margarita has a garnish of a lime and a straw.  I colored the insert in green and used glossy accents.
I hope you noticed that I put some crystal embossing on the top of each glass with
glue and did not heat set it.

On the inside I used a strip of leftover design paper along with pink fresh fancy edges cut in Jelly bean green and yes one more Margarita glass for the happy birthday sentiment

Please stop over at the blog and take a look at what the team has done for this challenge.

Seize the Birthday #331 - Square card + non white base

Glenda is the hostess for this next challenge and she wants us to make a Square card, but this is a twist as the base must not be white. I quickly made a square card, but forgot the non white base. Easy fix, and I just sponged on pink ink to my white base. Lol  It is amazing how quickly you can fix a mistake.

If you are not doing the topping, just make it a Birthday theme card.

Here is my card.

Thanks Cathy for a great Birthday Challenge.

I had an idea of what I wanted to create, but went to Pinterest to see more. There I found the card that I wanted to make exactly. To my surprise, it was one of my teammates at Seize the Birthday who did it.
I will give Jules the credit and I didn't much improve it.

Guest designer at Color Hues!

I’m excited to share that I was one of the winners of the #TCH133 Challenge.  ðŸŽ‰

As a result, I’ve been invited to be the Guest Designer for the next challenge #135, which is such an honor. I’m grateful for the opportunity and can’t wait to share my project.

When I saw these two colors, my first thought was bees. From there, my imagination kept going, and I decided to expand on that idea. Bees make honey, so honey became the inspiration behind my project and the direction I chose for my creation.
Although I don't have a lot of stamps and dies here, I was lucky enough to have two that I used.

Supplies :
Gina K Designs White and Black Card stock
Altenew 3D embossing folder Dotty Circles, with ink brushed over some areas
I used two stamp and die set from different company's.
Colorado Craft Honey Jar
The Greetery Honey Jar
Distressed ink mustard seed (dripping honey)
Gina K Skeleton Leaves ( bees wings)
Black Nuvo Drops for the middle of the flowers
Glitter for bees wings
Glossy accents
Want to know how I got the dripping honey?
I put mustard seed ink on my glass top, then mixed in some glossy accents.
I used a small que tip to put a blob of that mixture on a silicone mat, and then drag it down for the look of a drip. I let that dry over night and then adhered the drip to my card

The inside.

I hope that I have motivated you to enter this challenge and I would enjoy seeing you here.
Take a look at the challenge and the examples and rules Here.
