Double D Challenge - Watercolor

It's time for Team Diane to bring you another fun challenge for the next two weeks.  It is fitting for the Spring that we are all hoping to see soon.  Check out the Mood board for inspiration.

I was inspired by the lower left panel as it reminded me of a field of flowers.
Here is the card that I made for this challenge and your inspiration.

For this card, I used a stamp set that was gifted to me from a dear friend.  It is Paper Trey Ink A Year of Flowers. I stamped it in Distressed ink in Old Paper and then did some watercoloring over that.  The lines of the Old Paper disappear when you do that and It gives this look. Stamping the flowers again in the background filled in the picture.  Remember to mask off the flowers in the foreground. To give the flowers an anchor I painted in some grass and ground.  For texture, I pulled out some texture dies that I received from My Favorite Things as a freebie.  They leave texture in the cardstock. I used several across the top and some on the bottom.   I chose a plain green envelope for this card.

On the inside, I stamped the one flower image with the Old Paper ink.  Again I used the dies.

Here is the prize

Be sure to visit the Double D Team Challenge for more inspirations.  Team Darlene is awesome.

Thanks for the comments that you take time to leave for me.  I do appreciate every one of them.

  7. Love all the flowers but that daffodil just looks so happy and perky. The embossing dies are perfect for this card. Adds a nice touch to a fabulous CAS design.
