Fun Friday Power Poppy

The weather here is much more like summer lately.  That makes me think of the flowers and the fresh berries that will soon be growing.  I received this stamp set recently and decided to quickly color it up for a card.
I am using the stamp set called Summer Berries and the Raspberries that are my favorite.
I'll just get to it then.

The stamp is Power Poppy Summer Berries for the image and sentiment.
Colored with Copic markers and Prisma color pencils
I masked off the image and inked up an embossing folder called Wire Fence and used it as a stamp for the background.

After taking Amy Shulke's classes I look for a real photo so that I can capture a more real image when I color.
This one has different color berries and shows the light refracted off of them.
I wish that I could have gotten the dark berries a bit darker.  Maybe next time.

There is more from the team members today.  Take a peek at them, you will not be sorry.
Leave them some love.

Double D Challenge - Begins with an M

Hello Friends and welcome.  Are you ready for this challenge?  I am going to tell you right off the start that this was really a challenge for me.

Here is the inspiration board for you. Darlene is out Host!

Nothing came to mind.  Truly, in thinking about the stamps that I had, I got nothing.

So I googled words with M and I got an idea!  Mice, yes I would do mice.

I started out using a stamp set from My Favorite things and thought I would make a group of mice playing in a band.  Here is what I mean.

I was busy masking off mice and making my creation when I suddenly noticed that these mice had cottontails and long ears.  Could this be a new breed of mice???? I didn't think that I could pull that off, so I started over.  Luckily I found a stamp in my stash that I had never used and it worked well.

This is better.

supplies are:
Stampendous Mice Wishes stamp and a die from Die Namics Cross Stitched Squares
You should stop over to see what the rest of the team has done for inspiration.

Here is the prise for a random winner.

Creative Confetti : Rule of Thirds

Hello, Creative Confetti fans! I have a challenge for you this week and I sure hope that you join me. I got this idea from a friend and I wanted to use it. Let's call it the rule of thirds.   Have you heard about that rule in the art world?  You can look it up if you like, but I am going to do a little twist on that anyway.

HOW TO PLAY: Create a card and divide it into thirds. Are you bold enought to divide up that beautiful creation that you colored.  I was!  You can do it too.

On to my Creation!

We are very lucky to winter in the warmer climate of Florida and we just got back to Wisconsin recently. Here, spring is just thinking about blossoming and I see some tulips, but not a lot.  That is why I decide to use the digital stamp from Power Poppy called Tulips. I printed it out on express it paper and colored it with Copic markers. The background is Distressed Ink in Peeled Paint and applied with a brush. Then I took the step to actually cut it into thirds and mounted it to my base card.  I heat embossed the sentiment from Power Poppy stamp, So Grateful in Platinum embossing powder.

Copic for the  Tulips, V01, V04, V06, V09 and some white gel pen. For the leaves YG03, YG63 and Yg 67
The hardest part for me is to add the splatters.  These are Novo drops applied with just the tip of the bottle. Thay way I have more control

It's your turn, I hope you have the courage to divide up your creations! I will be waiting to see how you get out of your comfort zone. Remember after you create, link your creation using linky.  Every entry is one more chance to win $25 to spend in the Power Poppy Shop.

Until I see you again, please stay safe and well and create something.

Thanks for stopping by and I always appreciate your comments!

Double D Challenge - LAVENDERS-LILAC-PURPLE

Welcome Crafty Friends! It is time for another challenge at Double D
Check out the mood board for this one. You could probably guess what the title is, but let me tell you.  Diane is the host for this one and it is Lavenders,  Lilac and Purple.

I was really intrigued by that chair in the right lower panel and I started out to make it.
Here is my take on that.
This is a Power Poppy Stamp called So Grateful.  I changed it up because I wanted to recreate the pot on the chair.  See the stamp below has a pumpkin on the chair.  I carefully stamped the chair without putting ink on the pumpkin and then used another stamp from Power Poppy called Woodland Carpet and just used the violets that are on the upper right corner, to the chair seat.
I think you get the idea. I had to draw in a few lines. I think it was worth it.

    So Grateful Stamp Set

Woodland Carpet Stamp Set

I die is Penny Black Border Edges. I hope that you go over to see the BLOG for more inspiration on this challenge.

Here is the prize some random winner will receive.

Thanks so much for stopping by I love your comments.
