Seize the Birthday - Hobbies and Pastimes #228

This is our last challenge for this year of 2021.
I think that the theme is a super one and Lindsey is the hostess.

I hope that you try this theme, but if not, just remember
to make it a Birthday Theme.
Here is my card.

This is me!  Really, as I am the happiest in my craft room making cards. I have had this stamp for quite some time and unfortunately had not used it much. It is perfect for this challenge theme.
The background is a stamp from Taylored expressions called A Life She Lived.  I used the jar of brushes to make my background. I sponged inks of Festives berries, Peeled Paint, and Salty Ocean over it, after heat embossing with white. The stamp is MFT Crafty Friends.
I left the inside blank, but this will make a great Birthday card for one of my crafty friends.
I have met so many kind and amazing crafty people in this business. How could I not be happy?

Happy Thanksgiving!
Wishing you all a Very Merry Christmas and a Happy 2022!

Thanks for stopping by and I always appreciate your comments!

  1. This is such a sweet card! I love the background and this sweet stamping girl. It's so true - making cards and then getting to know all the like-minded people out there is such a bonus!

  2. How utterly sweet! I love the theme of this challenge and you have really nailed it. Fabulous background, perfect for the focal. And the greeting is the frosting on the cake.

  3. Fabulous! Never has there been a truer sentiment lol Great background and such a sweet little cardmaker!

  4. Love your background and colors. Perfect image and sentiment. I thought of this stamp set when I saw the theme, but went with a different idea.

  5. I remember wanting this stamp when it first came out and I passed on it. I adore it and have one in my studio that JoAnn made for me. Awesome job my friend, the background was creative too!

  6. Oh, so cute and such a fun and pretty background as well! I'm glad you had a chance to finally use this adorable stamp. This is my #1 hobby, too. After that it would be gardening, but I really love to do so many things. Such a true sentiment to go with this darling image!

  7. How sweet!! I love the 'This is me!' part!! Isn't it, though - a through crafter and an incredible talented card maker - represented so well! I love this card! :)

  8. Great minds think alike! Love your colour combo and the adorable image you chose. I agree - I've met so many great people through crafting.

  9. What a fabulous card showing our hobby, Barbara! I love the color mix you used for the background!!!
