Make the Cards Challenge - Guest Designer

I am a Guest Designer this week for

This week's challenge is.....

This week the challenge is fun and you all have the tools to complete an entry.
Just use a stencil and a die-cut sentiment.
Use any supplies that you have.

To make this card I watched a video from Jennifer McGuire and I will link it up HERE
You used a baby wipe a stencil from Gina K designs called Water Droplets.
The sentiment is a die from Paper Trey Ink called Big Hugs, I die cut it three times and glued with together for more dimension. I then covered the die with glossy accents. Last, a few drops of Ivory Nuvo.  the card stock is Gina K Designs in White and Turquoise Sea.

Here is where you can go to make your entry.

Use #mtcc15 and #makethecardschallenge hashtags on your card projects when you post them on social media or in public forums and galleries.

I had so much fun with this challenge, I did another card.  For this one, I had some heavy Vellum that worked well for this type of card. The center panel is done with the same technique as the first card. I just made it a bit smaller.  I really like how this turned out.

Gina  K Die-cut and sentiment, The Stencil is Simon Says, Tumbling Leaves.

Double D Challenge Flowers of the month - July to December

Darlene is the host for this challenge. We are continuing with the flowers of the month Challenge. Here are some pictures of July to December flowers. Lots to pick from.  My favorite flower is the poppy, but I chose a different one for this challenge.

Here is the card that I did for your inspiration.

This is a digital stamp from  Power Poppy called Hellebores.  I printed it out on Curious Metallic Cryogen White paper.  The paper is thin and works well for this technique.
I did this for a class that I took from Vanilla Arts and Amy Shulke.  It was fun and I think it made a unique card.

This is a closer look at the card.  You just color the image with your Copic markers and then on the back side, color splotches of color with your markers. On the front side, drip Copic Colorless Blender and you get this effect.  It is really scary to do and I have not been successful sometimes.  I made this into a 5 X 5 card and I think I will keep it a while and not send it out.

I wish that I had pictures to show you this technique that Amy discovered.  It was quite by accident that she found it.  She spilled the colorless blender on a finished project. I love the dreamy look that you get.

This is another image that I did for the class.  It is too big to make a card, but you can get a better idea of the technique.

Of course, there is a prize for a random winner.

Please take a look at the blog to see the rest of the team's inspiration HERE

Here is the card that I did for your inspiration.

One of my favorite images from Power Poppy is this Countryside Bouquet.  I have colored it up many times and love doing it every time. I added a twist for this card. After coloring it, I die cut it with a  round die and then placed a stencil over the top.  Sponging some Distress Oxide ink in Tumbled Glass. I also used that stencil in the background from Memory Box called Textured Distressed Grid.  The sentiment is from Paper Trey Ink and the banner is DieNamics.

Ok, now it is your turn to come up with a beauty!

Make the Cards Challenge #15 - Beach

My dear friend Donna Phelan is a guest host at Make the Cards Challenge for this week.  The theme is perfect for her as it is Beach. She lives on the beach and does beach cards so well.  I, on the other hand, did not have a lot of beach ideas, so I went to my friend Nancy and she gave me ideas and a few die-cut images. Well, that was all that I need to make this card.
Supplies for this card are MFT Seaside  Seagulls and Beach Scene Builders. It really came together quickly with these dies and a little coloring. Don't you love that palm tree?
Ok, since I just blew in from Spokane after my grandson, Tony's graduation from Gonzaga, I am beat, but wanted to get this post written.  So it will be short.

Here is the Make the Cards challenge for this week.
