Creative Confetti - Tag You're it!

Just before the holiday festivities start, and things get busy, I decided to make just one last entry for the Creative Confetti challenge this week. I have been making some tags for wine bottle gifts and that is what I did for this challenge. Power poppy has a perfect stamp set for this it is called Dream Wedding. I used the champagne bottle and glasses from that set.  I cut the large tag from Main Street Tags by Memory box and cut it again so that I can add a top border.  On that border, I added the sweet little sprigs from the Amaryllis Bliss stamp set.
This is a large tag is Main Street tags from Memory box,
it fits nicely on a wine bottle.
Lots of room to decorate it too.
I colored the tag with watercolors in light Distress inks.  Evergreen Bough, Scattered Straw, and  Shaded Lilac. The silver ribbon is from my stash.  The last touch was crystals from Pretty Pink Posh in Buttercream and Aquamarine.  I also added some Wink of Stella and Crystal effects to the tag.  Then it was done.

I am entering this tag in:
Creative Confetti challenge at Power Poppy.  Tag you're it!

Creative Confetti - Try something new!

I thought that I would just try something new as this challenge suggests.  This is not a new technique, but one that I have only done once before in the way that I first planned.  That technique is called Emboss Resist.  I made a very nice card and then realized that I did not use a Power Poppy stamp at all.  Lol!   Back to the drawing board.  It is hard to pick out a stamp set that I like as I like them all.  But I did go to the Chrysanthemum XL.   I stamped it in Versamark ink and put clear embossing powder on it and heat set it.  Then I found that I had a hard time coloring the petals as I planned because I could not see them.  No Problem, change the plan and use a wash of water color in gold.  Nope, not the look I was going for.  So Plan 3. die cut it out, add a darker color to highlight the petals.
Now we are talking a card.  This is what it looks like.
Here is what I used on this card.
Dark Chocolate card stock GKD, and water color paper for the flower
Stitched Round Rectangles From DieNamics added to the base for texture
Kuretake Starry gold water color
Vintage Photo Distress ink for the leaves and highlights on the flower
Power Poppy Chrysanthemum XL  and Party time for the sentiment
Gold embossing powder for the sentiment
This view shows how sparkly the gold is on the flower.

Double D Challenge - Let it Snow!

This is the last Double D Challenge for this year of 2018.  It sure has been a great year and I have had so much fun making cards for your inspiration. I hope that you have enjoyed joining in too.

Let's get to it.  The challenge for this two weeks is Let it Snow! Team Darlene says, use anything snow related. That really leaves a lot of room for you to create.  I made a Christmas card for your inpsiration, I put lots of snowflakes all over the front. Both heat embossed and die cut.
I stamped the snowflake from Gina K  Designs in Versamark and then heat embossed with Silver.  The fishtail banner is from Cheery Lynn.  Don't you love the scalloped edges? More snowflake dies from Memory Box called Lindeman, and PTI.  I used a navy and gray cardstock. The JOY is a die from PTI and it is covered with Versamark and heat embossed with silver too.

Here is the PRIZE

A random winner will be able to make lots of snowflakes for your projects.

Come and see what all of the design teams have made for your inpspiration at Double D Challenge.
Thank you very much for your comments I do appreciate them very much.

Have a Merry Christmas everyone!

Creative Confetti -

It is the season of giving and that's what this challenge at Power Poppy, Creative Confetti is all about.  Make a gift that you would give to someone.
Well, there are a lot of gifts that a crafty person could make to give, and I picked tags.  Special tags for special gifts. These are digital tag images from Power Poppy called, Birch and Evergreens, Wreath: Felt leaves and fruits, and Candy cane classic.
Here you go! A gift of four tags for someone who wraps their Christmas gift with special care.

One for a masculine gift.  I did use novo drops to just the branches. Dry embossed the tag with a brick pattern.

This one is all glittered up for a more feminine gift. I sprayed it with glimmer spray and added novo drops to the berries. Just a few rhinestones.  If you don't have the right color ribbon, use your ink pad to color it.

This is a softer and grand tag with clear novo drops to the fruit.

This is my favorite one.  The ribbon is gold and has clear novo drops to it.   By the way, this is a free digital image.  Just saying, what are you waiting for?  Go get it.
I will be entering these tags in the Creative Confetti challenge for this week.  You need to enter too.
Thanks for dropping in, I do love and appreciate the comments.

Double D challenge - Run Run Rudolph

We crafty people who make cards should be sending them out to our friends and relatives, so that means you need to get going and make some cards to send out this Holiday season.  I know that I have been making them for a few months and now I have enough.  This is a great time to add just one more to the pile and enter into this challenge offered by Team Diane this week.  You can make any kind of deer.  Here is my card inspiration for you this challenge.
This is all die cuts and was made quickly.
Nice for a Christmas card or a winter Birthday or Hello card too.
I used the DieNamics, Deer Love and Memory Box, Tall Birch dies.  I hand cut the snow drifts and sponged a little blue on the edges and then some glitter. The moon is just a circle punch. Of course, I colored the deer nose red.  He could be Rudolph.

Oh Yes, There is a prize for the random winner.

Come and join the design team at Double D. I can't wait to see what you all do, it is always so inspiring. Yes, I get inspiration everywhere, especially from you.

Thanks for dropping in and taking time to leave a comment.

Snowflakes are Beautiful

I was cleaning up my craft room and found a lovely die cut that a friend sent to me and wanted to use it in this Challenge from Dies R Us.  We are to use snowflakes.
Here is the quick card I made this morning.
For this card, I made a base of light gray and layered chocolate brown on top.  The design paper is from a Recollections paper pad called Christmas.  I put some rhinestones in the center of some of the snowflakes and also used some Glossy accents on them. Over the top of that, is the die cut from Memory box called Batavia Snowflake Oval. The sentiment is from the paper pack as well.  Pretty quick and simple.
I will also enter this in the Simon Says Wednesday Challenge - Anything Goes.
Thanks so much for leaving a comment.  I do appreciate them.

Creative Confetti - Tic Tac Toe

One last card for this month to join in the Creative Confetti at Power Poppy.  I made a quick one for this challenge and used the top row on the grid board. Using the Power Poppy stamp called Holly Golightly I stamped the image of holly with versamark and silver embossing powder.  Then I fussy cut the tag from that set and colored it with markers and pencils.

Here is my card.
I followed the top row from the grid and used the Red, Silver, and Embossing.  The card has a Green Apple card stock base from Gina K Designs and a layer of silver then the top layer with the design on it.  The tag is adhered with foam tape to give it some dimension.  I added some Wink of Stella and neuvo drops to the holly.

This was a busy month for me, how about you?  So thanks for stopping in to take a closer look.  I do appreciate your comments.

Creative Confetti - Let's Celebrate!

November is almost over.  Did everyone have a great and fun Thanksgiving?  How much shopping did you do?  I certainly took advantage of some of those crafty sales.  Maybe a little too much! Lol
Don't tell my husband, but if he sees that packages coming, he just says, "If you are happy, I am happy." What a guy!
Ok, on to the challenge.  This week we are to celebrate with a Birthday card!  I make those all the time, and one more is not a problem.  I am on the Seize the Birthday Challenge where I inspire and get lots of ideas for birthday cards.  This card is going to a dear friend who has a March birthday.  Here is my card.

I did another no line water coloring on this gorgeous image called Winter Wonderland and the sentiment is from Party Time by Power Poppy.  I first stamped with Old Paper distressed ink and used my markers to color the rest. I wanted some splatters but was afraid that I would mess up the flowers, so I used a stamp from GKD to make them.  Much more controlled and that was how I wanted them.  Last, I added some Aquamarine Jewels.

Here are the Distressed markers that I used:
Faded Jeans
Weathered Wood
Festive Berries
Peeled paint
Thanks for stopping by to take a closer look.  I do appreciate your comments.  Happy Cyber Monday shopping!

Seize the Birthday - Tags

My favorite object to add to a card is a tag, but this time I wanted to do something a little different.

Our topping this time is TAGS
But if you are not a toppings like of person, just make sure that it is a birthday card.
On to my card
This is what the inside looks like.

Supplies for the card: Gina K Designs paper and ink, Wild Lilac, Memory Box Main Stree Tag, Oval stitched die, Stamps are GKD, Love and Prayers and Birthday Greetings.

I went to you tube for some inspiration myself.  Here is where I found how to make this tag card. Lisa Curcio calls it a Petal Palette Double Point fold card.
I am looking forward to seeing your entries for this challenge.
Remember this is the last one for this year, as we take the month of December off.
Have a great holiday season and see you next year!

Creative Confetti - Round the Corner

This week the challenge is pretty simple, just stamp an image off of the corner or you can just round the corner of your project.  I chose to stamp off the corner.  The new stamp that I have was the right one for stamping off the corner.  Here is my card. I am entering in the Creative Confetti challenge.
I used Grandma's Snowflakes stamp set and heat embossed with white.  Then sponged on Distress ink in Broken China,  I splattered white acrylic paint for the snow storm in the background. The frame is my favorite from Frantic stamper called Stitched rectangles.  I could not resist adding a few die cut snowflakes to the bottom corner with a pearl in the center.
There is time to enter this challenge as if goes for a month.
Thanks for stopping and leaving a comment. They sure make my day.

#11 Twofer Challenge - Wreath

This month the challenge is a word prompt and it is appropriately WREATH.  Since I have all of the Christmas cards done, I have some time on my hands and decided to make two cards. One Christmas and the other an encouraging card.  I used the same stamp that has not gotten inky except maybe once.  So sad!  My new plan is to use the stamps that I have and cut down on buying more.  Notice that I said cut down, not stop!  It would be too hard.  Anyway, here are my cards for this fun challenge.

Supplies for these cards:
Paper Try Ink stamp Harvest Berries
On the left: SU Early Espresso Ink, Wrapped Scalloped Rectangle die by Memory box. White and Dark chocolate card stock.
The card on the right uses the Gina K Designs Wreath builder.  I stamped the wreath with Tranquil Teal ink on a piece of card stock that I had foiled,  You can see the shine in this picture. The berries are stamped in the Coral Reef ink and I used Coral Reef card stock with a few scored lines on the bottom.
Thanks for stopping in for a closer look.  I sure appreciate the comments if you care to leave them.

Creative Confetti - Just Color

This week we just have to color.  I do love to color, so I jumped right in as soon as I could.  It is easy to stamp something and color with your favorite mediums.  I don't have my favorite here which are my Copic markers, but I do have Spectrum Noire.  They are close, but not the same.  So bare with me as I show you my project.
I have the new stamp set Amaryllis Bliss to use.  I stamped it in Memento Black ink and then looked for a special amaryllis to color up my image.
This is the one! It looks like Christmas stripped candy.
Here is my coloring which I had to turn into a Christmas card.

I am entering this card in these Challenges:

Thanks so much for stopping by, I sure appreciate the time and your comments.

Seize the Birthday - Clean and Simple

Yes, It is a Birthday challenge and we have a toppings for you this time.  It is CAS, if you are not familiar with that, it is really Clean and Simple.  That should be easy, but for me, not so much.

If you're not a toppings kinda person, well.....you can just
stick with our usual "Anything Goes"Birthday!

Here is my card for you
I used Antique Linen to stamp with Altenew Persian Motifs on to water color paper.  Then used my Distress markers to watercolor them.  This may not be CAS enough for you.  Therefore I did another one that I am sure will be considered CAS.
This one is just stamped with a clear block on to the watercolor paper and then a silhouette stamp is used with blank ink.  It was a quick and easy one to do.
Hope that you have some motivation and inspiration to join us at
Seize the Birthday this challenge.
Thanks for stopping by, and I sure appreciate your comments.

Doube D Challenge - Wishes are Possible

It is time for another exciting challenge from Double D Challenge.
These gals put some great mood boards together to inspire you and me.
Here is the one for this challenge.

Look at all of the possibilities here, I was inspired by the top right picture,
as I had a stamp set in mind and it was never before used.
Can you imagine that?   You can use anything with a wish in it.

Here is my card for your inspiration.
I made a panel of white card stock that I sponged with Distressed Ink in Weathered Wood , Peeled Paint and Faded Jeans.  Then I did the Bokeh technique on it.  After that was dried I stamped it with The Clearly Besotted Set called Dandelion Dreams.  Perfect for this challenge, right? The sentiment is from that stamp too. I die cut a Paper Trey Ink die called Mix and Match Plaid, and place it all on a top folding card base of Powder Blue by Gina K.

I also added some 3mm Clear Droplets.
You should really take a look at what the rest of the team has done for your inspiration.  You can find all of them here.

Here is a prize for the random winner.
Thanks for your comments they really make me smile and are appreciated.
